Terms of Service

1. The service

402.report is a transparent reverse proxy that observes x402 (HTTP 402) payment activity and surfaces it as spend insights. 402.report is non-custodial: it never holds, moves, settles, or takes custody of any funds. Payments are made by your own agent from your own wallet; 402.report only observes them.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use 402.report to:

  • break any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate anyone else doing so;
  • access, attack, scan, or disrupt systems you are not authorised to use;
  • conceal the origin of traffic in order to evade bans, sanctions, or law enforcement;
  • transmit malware, infringing content, or content that violates others' rights;
  • send traffic to internal, private, or non-public network addresses.

3. You are responsible for your traffic

You are solely responsible for all requests routed through 402.report using your API keys, for the data they carry, and for your agents' behaviour. Each forwarded request is stamped with a non-identifying client identifier so that affected third parties can report misuse back to us; you consent to this attribution.

4. Confidential data

402.report forwards your requests to their destinations and can therefore see the data in transit. Do not route data through 402.report that you are not permitted to disclose to a processor. We minimise what we log and never sell your data.

5. Suspension & termination

We may revoke API keys or suspend access at any time if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or to comply with a legal request, with or without notice.

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

402.report is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 402.report and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any lost funds, profits, or data arising from your use of the service.

7. Reporting abuse & changes

Misuse can be reported at /abuse. We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the new version.
